About Lauren

I’ve spent most of my life connecting dots that weren’t supposed to belong together.

Psychology. Marketing. Technology. Astrology. Human Design. Creativity. Cancer. Identity. Business.

For years, these looked like different chapters. Eventually I realised they were all teaching me the same thing: look beneath the surface.

THE CONNECTING DOTS

I’ve always been interested in what sits underneath the surface.

I studied Psychology because I wanted to understand people. Why we think the way we do. Why we repeat certain patterns. Why two people can experience the same world completely differently.

Then I spent more than 20 years in marketing, working with brands including Microsoft and Skype. In some ways, I was still studying people - just from another direction. What makes us pay attention. What resonates. Why some ideas connect and others don’t.

Alongside that came another set of interests.

Astrology first. Then Human Design. Numerology. The body. The nervous system. Creativity. Consciousness. All the things that didn’t fit neatly into the more rational version of myself I’d learned to present to the world.

For a long time, I thought these were separate parts of my life.

Now I think they were all asking the same question:

What makes someone who they are?

What makes someone who they are?

WHEN THE MAP CHANGED

WHEN THE MAP CHANGED

Some things you understand intellectually. Others you have to live through.

Some things you understand intellectually. Others you have to live through.

There have been several points in my life when the version of me I thought I knew stopped making complete sense.

An ADHD diagnosis gave me a different language for parts of myself I’d spent years judging - the intensity, the inconsistency, the need for novelty, the way my mind makes connections between seemingly unrelated things.

And then, in 2022, I was diagnosed with stage 3 bowel cancer.

Cancer cracked my world open in a way nothing else had.

There was surgery, chemotherapy and months of uncertainty. But there was also what came afterwards - when treatment was over, everyone understandably wanted life to return to normal, and I realised I wasn’t entirely sure I wanted it to.

I had spent years being intelligent, rational and capable. Following the rules. Working hard. Trying to get things right.

Cancer made it much harder to keep ignoring the quieter question underneath all of that:

Is this actually right for me?

That question has shaped almost everything I’ve created since.

NO SINGLE SYSTEM HAS THE ANSWER

I’m interested in using tools as maps. But never handing your authority over to them.

I don’t believe a birth chart can tell you who you are.

I don’t believe Human Design has all the answers. Or numerology. Or psychology.

But I do think each can give us another lens through which to see ourselves.

One might give language to something you’ve always sensed but couldn’t explain. Another might reveal a pattern you’ve been living for years. Another might make you question something you’ve always assumed was simply “the way things are”.

And when we put those lenses alongside your actual lived experience, something interesting starts to happen.

Patterns become visible.

Not because a system is telling you who you are.

Because it is helping you recognise what you already know.

That is really what Cosmicology grew from.

You don’t need another person to tell you who to become.

You don’t need another person to tell you who to become.

As women we were taught not to trust ourselves

As women we were taught not to trust ourselves

This is me at about nine - proudly wearing my pink glasses as a necklace and living my best life.

Somewhere along the way, I learned to doubt my intuition and override what my gut was telling me. Finding my way back to that knowing has been a journey.

I was already on that journey in 2022 and I knew something wasn’t right in my body. I trusted myself enough to keep looking, order tests privately and eventually get the answers I needed.

Looking at my charts alongside my lived experience helped me see threads I’d previously dismissed. Twenty years in marketing hadn’t been just a job. Communication, creativity and self-expression had been woven through my life all along.

I didn’t need to become someone different. I needed to recognise more of who I already was.

That’s at the heart of what I do now - helping women understand themselves more deeply so they can express their work in ways that actually feel like them. Because not being fully you isn't sustainable or joyful!

The question isn’t:

“What’s wrong with me?”

But “What haven’t I recognised about myself yet?
